Bhagavad Gita Chapter 11 Verse 33 — Visvarupa Darsana Yoga

तस्मात्त्वमुत्तिष्ठ यशो लभस्व जित्वा शत्रून् भुङ्क्ष्व राज्यं समृद्धम् | मयैवैते निहताः पूर्वमेव निमित्तमात्रं भव सव्यसाचिन् ||११-३३||
Transliteration
tasmāttvamuttiṣṭha yaśo labhasva jitvā śatrūn bhuṅkṣva rājyaṃ samṛddham . mayaivaite nihatāḥ pūrvameva nimittamātraṃ bhava savyasācin ||11-33||
Hindi Meaning
।।11.33।। इसलिए तुम उठ खड़े हो जाओ और यश को प्राप्त करो; शत्रुओं को जीतकर समृद्ध राज्य को भोगो। ये सब पहले से ही मेरे द्वारा मारे जा चुके हैं। हे सव्यसाचिन्! तुम केवल निमित्त ही बनो।।
English Meaning
Therefore get up. Prepare to fight and win glory. Conquer your enemies and enjoy a flourishing kingdom. They are already put to death by My arrangement, and you, O Savyasācī, can be but an instrument in the fight.
Commentary
Savya-sācin refers to one who can shoot arrows very expertly in the field; thus Arjuna is addressed as an expert warrior capable of delivering arrows to kill his enemies. “Just become an instrument”: nimitta-mātram. This word is also very significant. The whole world is moving according to the plan of the Supreme Personality of Godhead. Foolish persons who do not have sufficient knowledge think that nature is moving without a plan and all manifestations are but accidental formations. There are many so-called scientists who suggest that perhaps it was like this, or maybe like that, but there is no question of “perhaps” and “maybe.” There is a specific plan being carried out in this material world. What is this plan? This cosmic manifestation is a chance for the conditioned souls to go back to Godhead, back to home. As long as they have the domineering mentality which makes them try to lord it over material nature, they are conditioned. But anyone who can understand the plan of the Supreme Lord and cultivate Kṛṣṇa consciousness is most intelligent. The creation and destruction of the cosmic manifestation are under the superior guidance of God. Thus the Battle of Kurukṣetra was fought according to the plan of God. Arjuna was refusing to fight, but he was told that he should fight in accordance with the desire of the Supreme Lord. Then he would be happy. If one is in full Kṛṣṇa consciousness and his life is devoted to the Lord’s transcendental service, he is perfect.

Savya-sācin ka matlab hai wo vyakti jo kshatriya ki tarah bahut hi expert hai teer chalaane mein; isliye Arjuna ko ek aise warrior ke roop mein bulaya gaya hai jo apne dushmanon ko maarne ke liye teer chala sakta hai. "Bas ek sadhan ban jao": nimitta-mātram. Ye shabd bhi bahut maayne rakhta hai. Puri duniya ek plan ke according chal rahi hai jo Supreme Personality of Godhead ka hai. Jo log samajh nahi rakhte, wo sochte hain ki prakriti bina kisi plan ke chal rahi hai aur sab kuch bas kismet ka khel hai. Bahut se so-called scientists ye kehne lagte hain ki shayad aisa tha, ya shayad waisa, par yahan koi "shayad" ya "ho sakta hai" nahi hai. Is material world mein ek specific plan hai jo chal raha hai. Ye plan kya hai? Ye cosmic manifestation conditioned souls ke liye ek mauka hai ki wo Godhead, yaani apne ghar wapas ja sakein. Jab tak unmein ek dominating mentality rahegi jo unhe material nature par raj karne ki koshish karne par majboor karti hai, tab tak wo conditioned rahenge. Lekin jo koi Supreme Lord ka plan samajh leta hai aur Kṛṣṇa consciousness ko cultivate karta hai, wo sabse intelligent hota hai. Is cosmic manifestation ka creation aur destruction God ki superior guidance ke andar hai. Isliye Kurukṣetra ki yudh bhi God ke plan ke according hui. Arjuna ne ladne se mana kar diya tha, par unhe samjhaya gaya ki unhe Supreme Lord ki ichha ke according ladna chahiye. Tab wo khush honge. Agar koi poori tarah se Kṛṣṇa consciousness mein hai aur apni zindagi ko Lord ki transcendental service ke liye samarpit karta hai, to wo perfect hai.
